Just what South Africa needs, a pyramid scheme to steal money from retirees and widows. Oh well, at least he’s out of the country for a while…

How Slade Smiley got hooked up with this particular scheme we will probably never know, nor will we know what his role is, probably at a low level with a high level of ass-kissing involved.

Gretchen Rossi, his “fiance” and financier on the Real Housewives of Orange County tweeted last week that he had a new job in South Africa. The Baylor University alumnus (so she says) didn’t know it takes a day to get to South Africa, she hadn’t heard from him and was worried. I’m sure Baylor is proud!

In other Slimy Slade news, he is back to lying about his age. He’s done it before; problem is, no one believes the October, 1973 he is stating as his birth year now. How many 39 year olds do you know with a grizzly gray beard and a toupee?

Yet again.

Looks like Andy Cohen will let the botox fly on the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8 reunion, set to air in three parts on Bravo TV Monday.

The Tamra Barney/Gretchen Rossi détente has ended, as predicted, as Tamra refuses to cover Gretchen’s lies about her relationship with Jay Photoglou when she was supposedly engaged to Jeff Beitzel.

Gretchen was seen by all the RH’s during Season 4 as her storyline was her dying fiance, yet she was cavorting and canoodling with Jay, who thought they had a real relationship and he would soon be on TV. After Tamra outed the relationship at the Season 4 reunion, Gretchen dumped Jay and took up with Slade Smiley, friend and ex-neighbor of original RHOC creator Scott Dunlop. This caused years of litigation, porn pics of Gretchen published by Nik Ritchie on theDirty, with Gretchen finally winning a $500,000 judgment against Jay.

Of course, pathological liar Gretchen uses this as proof that Jay was a lying stalker. Yes, Gretchen everyone now believes you……and your tearless crying.

Other highlights from the “First Look”.  Turns out Vicki and Donn Gunvalson are not divorced, he, however, is quoted as saying “he wouldn’t get back with Vicki if monkeys flew out of his ass” or something like that.  Donn is fighting for spousal support, so the divorce proceedings are at a standstill. Vicki sure knows how to create problems for herself, doesn’t she? Her biggest problem right now being that psychopath son-in-law of hers, Ryan Culberson.

At some point during the reunion, Lauri Waring Peterson sits down……we can only hope that one of the women ask her where Josh’s daughter is. Josh Waring and his wife gave birth to a drug-addicted child last December who went into withdrawal soon after Lauri tweeted about the birth. The child has been a ward of the State of California ever since. Lauri did not take in her grandchild.

Gretchen Rossi’s “house of cards” has been tumbling this season  like a snowball down a hill. Now it’s more like an avalanche, as her lies and subterfuges become more and more apparent.

Lady Burd Cosmetics, the branding company Gretchen uses for private labeling for her GretchenChristine.com cosmetics line, reportedly will no longer send her any stock, because her profits are filtered through Slade Smiley’s Paypal account. Scandalous!  Someone must have complained.

This is old news, they have been using this subterfuge to give Slade money so Michelle Arroyo, the mother of Grayson Smiley, his young son with terminal cancer, couldn’t come after him for support.

In the meantime, reports coming from the Season 8 reunion, taped July 10, imply that not only was Vicki Gunvalson on the hotseat, but so was Gretchen. It may be true, because Slade Smiley, who has always been nasty on twitter, has been in rare form lately:

For those who don’t know the story, Gretchen moved Slade into her Costa Mesa home shortly after the Season 4 reunion, when Tamra outted her relationship with Jay.  Problem?  Jay still had his belongings in the house, and after many angry exchanges, Jay posted all those nasty pictures of Gretchen on the ‘net.

At the reunion, she apparently attempted to prove she really did graduate from Baylor University, since it’s so difficult to believe she’s a college graduate. A poster on TWOP says it best:

If Gretchen really did graduate from Baylor with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and will be displaying her diploma at the reunion, I'll be shocked. Baylor is a fairly conservative Baptist university, and the current annual tuition is about $30k. It hardly seems like a good fit for old Gretchen Christine. Did Jeff pay her tuition!

And since she couldn't even articulate that she meant that Vickie was projecting not personifying her feelings, I would imagine the Psychology department wants to erase all evidence that she was ever there.

As I read through Slade Smiley’s recent tweets, I became curious about The Beckstrand Organization the cancer charity Slade and Gretchen work with.  Grayson Smiley has his own foundation, amazinggray.org. Gretchen and Slade seem to have nothing to do with that. As a matter of fact, Slade once had a Grayson website, but he took it down.

Of course, the Beckstrand Organization has highly publicized events, with plenty of glitz and glam….. could that be it?

Lydia McLaughlin Steps Into A Pile of Slade

And comes out smelling like a rose.

“A more cohesive alignment with reality”  Seems newcomer Lydia Stirling McLaughlin actually went to school and learned, unlike the other “Real Housewives” living in the Orange Bubble.

Lydia, from Newfoundland, where the Stirling family practically owns the media, is able to balance shit stirring in such a way that it never offends her castmates…so far.

Lydia’s bone structure is that of a naturally thin person, but Slimy Slade Smiley just couldn’t help commenting on her looks.  What a piece of shit he is!!!  Thanks for the edit, Bravo!

He loudly whispered to girlfriend Gretchen Rossi that he should call her cheeseburger, because she looked like she needed a cheeseburger. It was the way he said it - snarky, hateful, slimy, the usual Slade - and that he said it just loud enough for her to hear and feel excluded and belittled.

But not Lydia. She confronted him on what he said… and boom! Did you see the look on Slimy douchebag’s face?  Slade is never called on his shit, there is no accountability for his actions. And Gretchen sounded like an utter fool as she tried to defend him.  When Lydia said, “ I see who you are” Slade was so taken aback.

She says on her Bravo blog:

It's not what Slade said that upset me so much. It is his history of putting down other women's appearances publicly. Last year he called Tamra too fat and he's made fun of Vicki'snose. Now he's going after me at my own party!?! Who died and made him the appearance police? It's just not OK, which is why I called him out on it. And, for Gretchen to say I'm making a big deal out of nothing just showed me how insensitive she is. Maybe love is blind, but I can't image my husband Doug ever acting like that. Men should be lifting woman up -- not critiquing our appearance.

Lydia did her homework before she joined this show.  And mama Judy?  What a bonus!  So good to see someone not fitting the Orange County mold.

Lydia, 31, was Andy Cohen’s guest last night on Watch What Happens, Live!. Her mother Judy Stirling was the bartender, but she didn’t bring her ganja with her, LOL.

Lydia may be around for awhile, Andy seemed to like her.  Woo to the Hoo!

Slade Smiley is Still A Real Housewife

 

In Part 1 of the Slade Smiley story, I left off where Tamra Barney outted Gretchen Rossi's relationship with Jay Photoglou at the Season 4 reunion.  Well, needless to say, that relationship did not end well.

Two weeks after the Season 4 reunion aired, Jay went to Gretchen's house to remove his belongings. He was refused admittance, but Slade's car was there. ( Gretchen works fast)  Jay called the Costa Mesa Police Department to have them assist him in obtaining entrance to Gretchen's home. The police ran Slade's license plate and bingo! Not only was he driving illegally, but he owed so much in child support that he was arrested immediately!

None of this stopped Slade's determination to return to the show! After the reunion, Tamra and Gretchen went to war, and Jay brought defamation  lawsuit after lawsuit against Gretchen.

So who shows up for Season 5 playing Gretchen Rossi's new love? You guessed it.  I don't know if this is because of Scott Dunlop, the executive producer of RHOC, his old friend from his Coto de Caza days, or because Gretchen needed a storyline.  Whatever the reason, ol' slimey Slade has been a regular ever since.

Until recently, he acted mostly as Gretchen's pimp manager, following her around to personal appearances etc., Now he has a one day a week job as some sort of radio personality at a Los Angeles station. Hopefully, he's paying some of the child support owed to his terminally ill son Grayson's mother, Michelle Arroyo.

He's become an anachronism in his own lifetime, with even Bravo TV dubbing him an "honorary housewife".

Of course, he and Gretchen will have the same old tired storyline, about marriage and babies, ignoring the fact that he had a vasectomy years ago. That perhaps being the smartest thing he ever did.

It's hard out here for a pimp, correct?

The Gretchen Rossi / Tamra Barney No Longer BFFs

We knew it wouldn't last. Many regarded the "detente" between Gretchen Rossi and Tamra Barney during Season 7 of the Real Housewives of Orange County as fake, done for the good of their storylines, and used as a vehicle to attack Alexis Bellino.

The truce was of more benefit to Gretchen,  in an attempt to get Tamra to STFU about her life with Jeff Beitzel and Jay Photoglou, not to mention the phony hook-up with Slade Smiley.

Tamra allegedly slammed Gretchen's character and her singing ability to a local Orange County blogger.   This is Gretchen's reply:

 

“I was surprised to hear she questioned the friendship she has with me. Her and I talk often and I certainly did not know she felt this way, however I’m not naive to the fact that we had some hiccups this season as all friendships do. I think I have realized with her that when you call her out about things she goes on the attack and lashes back at you. This season she was texting me one thing about a situation, but on camera displaying another. I’m just a straight shooter, I don’t talk out both ends of my mouth. So I asked her on camera what the deal was and how come she was texting me one thing but doing another, needless to say that didn’t go over very well and things got a little weird with us for a minute, but I thought we worked through it and were back on good terms. Perfect example is this interview with you guys, when I asked her about it she texted me it was all BS and you guys completed manipulated the story, but then you guys said you have voice recordings of her saying this about me, so as anyone would feel, sometimes it’s hard to know what the truth is. However as a friend I want to give her the benefit, so I have to believe her.             source

Jay Photoglou Loses to Gretchen Rossi, Demands Re-Trial

In case you missed it….

In the seemingly never ending saga of Jay Photoglou versus Gretchen Rossi, Photoglou, whose picture should be in the dictionary under the word persistence, just lost a round in court when he attempted to revive the defamation lawsuit against Rossi.

Gretchen, of the Real Housewives of Orange County, was having an affair with Photoglou when her storyline was her engagement to Jeff Beitzel, who passed away in September, 2009. At the explosive Season 4 reunion, Tamra Barney called her out on the affair, and Gretchen dumped Photoglou immediately and took up with Slade Smiley, who was only too happy to get back on the series.

After years of accusations back and forth, Gretchen won the case, to the tune of $500,000 last November.

Jay, in his latest court action, tried to have the judgment thrown out, asserting the jury was "star struck" by Gretchen, and he's just a lowly used car salesman.

The judge tossed the petition…and Photoglou, out,upholding the jury verdict.

How long have Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley been on this track? If they have nothing to say, which is par for the course with them, they come back with the same old we may get married, we want to have a baby song.

With the pressures they are under with the impending wedding of Tamra Barney and Eddie Judge, on camera for Season 8, the break up of Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers, the birth of Briana Wolfsmith aand Ryan Culberson's baby boy, and a new woman introduced into the cast,  Lydia Stirling McLaughlin they had to come up with something to say. How many times have they put out a variation of this story?

Gretchen recently won a $500,000 award in Jay Photoglou's lawsuit against her for defamation….enough to buy a couple of surrogates (smile). But, did Slade Smiley ever get that vasectomy reversal he was seeking several years ago?  Hmmmmmm…….

"We’re working really hard right now to have a baby. He actually has a vasectomy so he has to get a reversal and we have to kind of figure that all out," Gretchen said.

"The scoop is we are taking the steps to try to have a baby. If that is the path we are taking there should be some sort of commitment and I don’t know when that is going to happen and who is going to ask who," she continued.

Gretchen is so on board to get married now that she is even considering taking things into her own hands to make it happen.

"I might not [ask him to marry me], but I’m just saying you never know. I kind of have a wild hair up my ass. I’m just saying a guy doesn’t always have to do it. He can still do it, but maybe I might too. I don’t know, but if [he] doesn't something soon, I might have to!"

In the meantime, Slade still struggles to pay child support for 11 year old Grayson Smiley, who recently endured another surgery to debulk his inoperable brain tumor.

Jay Photoglou Wins the Latest Round Against Gretchen Rossi

Four years after the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 4 reunion, when the shit hit the proverbial fan between Jay and Gretchen, the years of litigation between the two of them may finally be over.

In a storyline that could have been right out of her Bravo reality show, Rossi sued her ex-lover in 2010, claiming defamation and assault, battery, stalking and breach of contract. A judge later threw out the defamation claim, but let the others proceed.

At one point Photoglou countersued, claiming defamation and Rossi ended up having to pay him $40,000 for his legal fees.

Never go to RadarOnline seeking truth, but the stories take the pulse of the most recent RH publicity stunts.

Interesting this story came out the day after the season 7 reunion of the Real Housewives of Orange County was filmed.  Give us a hint at what happened there.  Did the other ladies have a go at Gretchen Rossi for continuing to support Slade?  Andy Cohen claimed he was “attacked” at the reunion on twitter yesterday, was it about paying Slade Smiley  in Gretchen’s name so Slade doesn’t have to declare income to the courts, seeking back child support for 11 year old Grayson Smiley, his child with brain cancer?

Or is Bravo threatening to get rid of Gretchen if she doesn’t come up with a better storyline? This season, between the PussyCat Dolls torture and the “my man ain’t got not job” story, Gretchen had nada.

Of course, there’s always the Jay Photoglou true storyline, with them constantly back and forth in court, this time possibly involving her cast mates:

Second Update 428/12:  Alexis Bellino has been called in by Jay Photoflood's attorneys to give a deposition in the case.

If you recall, Gretchen and Jay went boating with the Belino’s in 2008, shortly after Jeff Beitzel’s death, before Alexis was cast on the Real Housewives of Orange County.  Jay released a photograph of them, together on the boat.

Can you imagine Alexis lying to cover up for Gretchen? I can’t either.

Think Judge Gregory Munoz is sick and tired?  After her last loss to Jay Photoglou, Gretchen Rossi of the Real Housewives of Orange County tried to have the judge disqualified.

That worked out well, don’t you think?

Today in court:

The motion by plaintiff Gretchen Rossi for a protective order is granted in part and denied in part. The motion is granted with respect to information gained by either party through the use of all of the discovery processes regarding the following topics: (1) the sexual history of either party; (2) either party’s financial information, including income and expense information, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, and tax returns; (3) either party’s home and cellular telephone numbers; and (4) the home address of either party.

Plaintiff, defendant, their attorneys, and others acting on their behalf, shall not make use of and shall not disseminate the information defined above which is gained through discovery, other than such use as is necessary in order for the discovering party to prepare and try the case. Information regarding the above information gained through the discovery process may not be published by plaintiff, defendant, their attorneys, or anyone acting on their behalf, or made available to any news media for publication or dissemination, absent further court order. This protective order has no application except to information gained by either party through the use of the discovery processes.

The remainder of the motion is denied. Defendant’s request for judicial notice is granted, in that the court takes judicial notice of the fact that the document was filed only. Plaintiff’s objection to defendant’s request for judicial notice is overruled. Plaintiff’s objection to defendant’s Ex. 8 is sustained on grounds of lack of foundation and hearsay. The court declines to award sanctions. Plaintiff to give notice.

In other words, Gretchen is unable to keep Jay from talking about her relationship with Jeff Beitzel, the engagement ring, or any other relevant information.

Gretchen Rossi had been avoiding service from Jay Photoglou’s attorneys for a while, so it was done publicly, in front of  Bravo cameras. A source told absurd2sublime exclusively that this scene  didn’t  make the final cut because all references to Gretchen and her relationship with Jay, her lover while she was the fiancé of Jeff Beitzel , have been edited out. There are other lawsuits pending between the two, and Jay was recently rewarded $40,000 in the latest judgment.

The suit was filed by her ex boyfriend Jay Photoglou ,a source familiar with the situation said Rossi's attorney’s refused to except service, Jay’s attorneys had her served publicly.

It happened at the home of Peggy Tanous, the new Orange County cast member. Stars from Bravo's reality series got together at Tanous' home for a dinner, that was taped by the network.

"Gretchen pulled up in her car and as soon as she got out she was served with the legal papers," a source told RadarOnline.com. "She turned away and acted as if she was going to try to avoid being served. But there were two people there to serve her and she had no choice. She finally just accepted service."

During the episode, as Gretchen is probed on the whereabouts of current beau S lade Smiley, she says he’s “with his kids”. Arch-nemesis Tamra Barney remarks “  he's home either waxing is his eyebrows or plucking his ass hair “     Class act, that Tamra.

Speaking of Slade’s kids,  Gretchen wonders if Slade is paying Grayson Smiley’s medical bills as he has been telling her, instead of paying the $130,000 he owes Grayson’s mother, Michelle Arroyo, in child support.  This is obviously scripted, since Slade allegedly pays absolutely nothing.

Also missing from action: Jim Bellino, who reportedly doesn’t like the way he has been portrayed, and opted out.  Alexis Bellino is seen calling him, probably begging him to come to the dinner party, to no avail.

Gretchen Rossi of the Real Housewives of Orange County lost a round in her lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Jay Photoglou in their never-ending battle over essentially nothing.  A very expensive nothing.

For starters, the defamation part is out.

"Yes!" Photoglou exclaimed as he left the courtroom and gave his attorney a hug. (No official comment was forthcoming, however.)

The judge struck down Rossi's claims of defamation, libel and portrayal in a false light after determining that her camp hadn't offered up enough evidence to prove Photoglou was lying about the two of them being in a romantic relationship while she was engaged to Jeff Beitzel, who died of cancer in 2008.

Rossi has already paid nearly $24,000 in legal fees for Photoglou, who sued her for defamation in January after her failed attempt to get a restraining order against him. (Her reason: She claims Photoglou threatened to kill her and boyfriend Slade Smiley.)

She's still allowed to pursue prior claims of assault, battery, stalking, breach of contract, conversion, intentional emotional distress, intentional interference with contractual relations and intentional interference with prospective economic relations for the time being.

"While we respect the Judges of the Orange County Superior Court, we believe that there are appropriate grounds for Appeal, and whether we pursue that avenue will depend upon a variety of factors," Rossi's attorney, Gregory G. Brown, said in a statement to E! News.

"We believe it is important to note that much of Ms. Rossi's complaint went unchallenged," he continued. "These eight primary claims will continue to be pursued aggressively.

"While we ordinarily do not discuss the details of ongoing litigation, we feel compelled to provide this complete picture of the current status of the case given Mr. Photoglou's ongoing internet and media communications which, to date, have been less than complete."

Part of the Judge’s Ruling:

Defendant Jay Photoglou’s Special Motion to Strike is granted in part and denied in part. Defendant Photoglou’s Special Motion to Strike is granted as to the 3rd cause of action for slander, 4th cause of action for defamation re: Libel and 5th cause of action for false light.  Defendant has met his initial burden showing the alleged false statements regarding defendant and plaintiff’s relationship and plaintiff’s engagement to Jeff Beitzel are protected speech subject to the protections of the anti-SLAPP statute.

In other Gretchen and Slade news, Slade has reportedly had his vasectomy reversed.  Could more little Slades and Sladettes be far behind?   Guess the relationship is serious, if Gretchen doesn’t wind up paying Jay again. If she loses this lawsuit, she’ll owe him another 50 grand.

In the never-ending battle between ex-lovers Gretchen Rossi and Jay Photoglou, it's Jay's turn to sue, again. He recently won $22,000 in court costs for the restraining she filed and dropped in March 2009.  Gretchen was served at a party last Saturday night given by Peggy Tanous, the newest Orange County housewife.

In the court documents, Jay lays out his case against Rossi, in full detail. It was déjà vu in many ways, having followed  and chronicled the story at More Absurdities Readers Rant.  Jay has a direct line to radaronline, they always get the story first.

On a side note, I have developed a "relationship" with both Jay and Gretchen, so my opinion is more balanced than it once was. Jay is not all bad stalkerish crazy douchebag, Gretchen is not truthful about most things. so there you have it.

More than dinner was served when Gretchen Rossi got together for a meal with her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars last Saturday night. As soon as Rossi arrived at the party she was served - with a lawsuit, RadarOnline.com learned exclusively.

The suit was filed by her ex boyfriend Jay Photoglou and a source familiar with the situation said Rossi's attorneys refused to accept service, leading Jay to have Gretchen served publicly.

It happened at the home of Peggy Tanous, the new Orange County cast member. Stars from Bravo's reality series got together at Tanous' home for a dinner, that was taped by the network.

"Gretchen pulled up in her car and as soon as she got out she was served with the legal papers," a source told RadarOnline.com. "She turned away and acted as if she was going to try to avoid being served. But there were two people there to serve her and she had no choice. She finally just accepted service."

Photoglou is suing Rossi for libel, slander and five other counts. The suit was originally filed in Los Angeles but for procedural reasons he needed to re-file it in Orange County.

Rossi also has an active lawsuit against Photoglou.

Rossi has at times denied she was romantically involved with Photoglou but he has provided ample proof of their former romantic relationship. Now, their only relationship exists in court, where they have battled continuously for the past year - and it doesn't look like the war is going to end any time soon.

"They've spent a fortune suing each other," one source told RadarOnline.com. "But the money doesn't seem to matter. They each want to stomp the other one

The Audacity of Jay Photoglou

Slade Smiley ‘s child support court hearing turned into a circus worthy of The Real Housewives of Orange County on Friday.

Smiley owes $110,000 in back child support to Michelle Arroyo and was accompanied to court by Gretchen Rossi.  Guess who also made an appearance? Right,  Jay Photoglou. Slade was furious.

Photoglou and Rossi have waged their own court war, suing each other after a long-running public feud.

Smiley was incensed to see Photoglou in the courtroom and authorities were involved in keeping the parties separate.

Slade then asked the judge to have Photoglou removed from the courtroom. All parties not directly involved in the matter, including Gretchen, were told to leave court.

Gretchen Rossi, cast member of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” paid a check for $22,375 Friday at Harbor Justice Center in Laguna Hills.

The cashier’s check was made out to Jay Photoglou, the law offices of Orlando Castaño, and the California Franchise Tax Board. Photoglou, 40, claims he was Rossi’s secret ex-boyfriend when she was engaged to another man, now deceased.

Rossi, 32, paid the check to cover Photoglou’s attorney’s fees. She originally owed him $18,900, but that amount increased due to filing costs, interest and additional attorney’s fees.

A judge ordered Rossi to pay the fees because an earlier civil lawsuit against Photoglou, which included a temporary restraining order, was dismissed with prejudice.

“I’m very pleased. He’s very pleased,” Castaño said about his client, Photoglou. “We got just what we wanted. We got our judgment paid.”

When asked if he was happy with Friday’s payment, Photoglou said, “Absolutely.”

And here’s an interesting tidbit: E! Online is reporting that Rossi wanted to donate the money to a children’s charity instead of paying Photoglou, but the offer was declined.

Castano said he learned that Rossi’s attorney is on the board of directors of that charity, and so “it seemed very shady.”

Rossi and her lawyer, Gregory Brown, could not be reached for comment on Friday.

By no means is the drama over. Both Rossi and Photoglou still have competing civil lawsuits against each other. Rossi’s suit alleges assault, battery, defamation (slander and libel), stalking and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Orange County Reunion: Who Let the Dogs Out?

What a dud.

The Season 5 reunion of the Real Housewives of Orange County was a snoozefest. Perhaps TPTB at Bravo are saving the good footage for one of those “Lost Footage” episodes they seem to trot out during a ratings slump, but who knows?

At least Andy Cohen called out Slade Smiley on some of his lies. Left the show after Season 2?  C’mon Slade, Jo left and you no longer had a place on the show. His friend  and Coto de Caza neighbor Scott Dunlop, executive producer of the franchise, gave him a show with Jo, Date My Ex, which was a complete flop. Didn’t really date Lauri Waring? The footage has been aired, and Vicki was there. Wasn’t it creepy that Lauri still has Slade’s text messages and phone calls? Can’t wait for those to come out. How soon will Gretchen wiggle out of her relationship with Slade?  She will succumb to the pressure all around her, I think.

Speaking of the timeline and Gretchen’s relationships, Jeff Beitzel died September 13, 2008, one week after Season 4 finished filming.  Jay Photoglou starts talking and blogging about Gretchen in January 2009.  After my posting announcing 'Gretchen ‘s participation on the show, people posted comments  about Gretchen and Jeff on my other website.   In January, Jay Photoglou announces he’s throwing a party for Gretchen.  The reunion episode takes place in February, 2009. In early March, Gretchen files her restraining order against Jay, Slade’s unregistered car is parked there, the Costa Mesa police run a make on the plate, so he is arrested for unpaid child support. They apparently got together around the time of the reunion, and Gretchen may have been doing some serious overlapping! Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend, when filming for Season 5 begins. Gretchen looked trapped in Slade’s lies. Kudos to Andy Cohen for calling Slade out!

Poor, beat up Vicki. Yeah, right.  Threatening not to return for season 6 because the others are “beating up” on her, something she would never do.  So comical, so typical Vicki. She has consistently beat up on every single housewife from day 1, season 1. Let’s not forget how she treated Gretchen Rossi last season. Thrown her husband, her ex-husband, Jeana Keough and every one else under the bus. Then denies it. Never owns it. Karma is a bitch. Hate Alexis Bellino , but glad she called Vicki out.  But Tamra is correct, Vicki doesn’t see herself at all.

We’ll see what happens during the off season. Looks like Jeana Keough is coming back, as she mentions filming when she talks about saving her home from foreclosure again.

In the meantime, on to the Big Apple

Simon Says

 

Season 4 of the Real Housewives of Orange County was pretty rough for  Simon Barney  Both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, his wife Tamra behaved like a mean teenager jealous of the new girl in town, Gretchen Rossi. Quite unbecoming behavior for a mother of four in her forties. 

Unfortunately for the Barneys, you can’t put  worms back in the can.  Simon lost his job selling Mercedes-Benz, partly because of the show, and because of his own bad behavior(allegedly)  Since then, he has been pimping some tequila brand, how much can he make doing that?  To compound matters, he also got one of those mortgages built on smoke and mirrors, and is losing his home.

Problem is: fans of this train wreck remember his behavior at Lake Havasu, remember "Naked Wasted", and all the pettiness exhibited by his wife, both before the season aired and  throughout the season in the form of blog postings and message boards.  They became involved , and are still involved, with Jay Photoglou, who is  putting out pictures and messages to this day  Jay's Blog

Now he’s trying to gain some control over Tamra’s behavior...which is akin to putting lipstick on a pig. Neither Tamra nor Simon seem to realize that if they back away from bashing Gretchen, her story will play out as it should.  So what if  she lied about her relationships with Photoglou and Jeff Beitzel?

No, Tamra is still obsessed with Gretchen, and that makes her lose fans, not gain them.

As for Simon’s professional life, it is rumored he has a job at another automobile dealership, but he’s keeping the show away from it.  Too late.
