It seems the Real Housewives of Orange County gossiped on camera a tad too much about a certain relationship Gretchen Rossi had during Season 4, when she was supposedly engaged to Jeff Beitzel. Now that person wants his name removed from the lips of Lynne Curtin, Tamra Barney and Lauri Waring (she does have a limited role in Season 6, according to sources) .
Removing his name will mean re-editing the entire season, scheduled to begin in January. So the premiere may be moved back to February.
It’s easy to see why the ladies would have a lot to say about this relationship, as Slade Smiley, universally hated by all the housewives, is thrown in their faces by Gretchen. Add to this the fact that Gretchen and this man stay in court all the time, they were in court yesterday on a motion postponed by Gretchen on November 19, and are due back in court on December 23rd. Merry Christmas.
Why might the production company, Evolution, grant this request, you ask? The person in question has sent several requests to Bravo asking that all discussion of his relationship with Gretchen is deleted. With the on-going litigation, Bravo seeks to remain separate from this mess.
